What is MOMs ?

Morning Out for Moms (MOMs) is an evangelistic outreach to mothers of pre-schoolers. MOMs is focused on encouragement of mothers with practical advice in relevant topics to mothers of young children; this message is always delivered from a Biblical perspective and in conjunction with a clear presentation of the gospel.

MOMS allows for accountability and support for the moms within our church and allows them a place to interact with visitors in order to demonstrate their faith to others and demonstrate the love of God. It also presents an opportunity for mothers within FBCLO to invite mothers that they know in their neighborhoods or that they meet in their daily lives, and introduce them to others like them in our church.

What does MOMS do?

Many people are familiar with the MOPS organization (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers) and MOMs formal meeting time shares many similarities; however, the most notable difference is that MOMS is offered at no charge. Additionally, it is not intended to be a neutral ministry. MOMS presents our church's beliefs clearly, and will evangelize those who visit.

For our formal meetings, MOMS always provides breakfast for the mothers and children who attend. We have a staffed nursery, and we provide materials and instruction in a craft or project.

Our bi-weekly playgroup is a time of fellowship where children and mothers play and visit together in a rotation of homes. 

Moms' Evening Out occurs bi-monthly and is a chance for moms to spend time with other mothers in an adult setting.  We will have different activities such as dinner out, crafting, bowling, etc. 
 

What's planned for this year?

Our MOMs meetings are now in full swing for the year, and we would be excited to have you attend.
If you desire to have the interaction and fellowship of other mothers, our MOMs ministry would be a great place to develop some new friendships based on common circumstances. We have plenty of room for more moms and would be happy to have you join us, and bring a friend. Let us know if you need anything else.

Meeting times:

• During the school year, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 10:00-11:30 for playgroup.
• In October, December, February and April we will meet at church on the fourth Tuesday for a structured meeting.
• Evenings out are in September, November, January, March, and May.
