Juan M. Moreno, Senior Pastor, has been with First Baptist since October 1997 and has been involved in ministry since 1986. Prior to coming to Lake Orion, he served as an assistant pastor at Inter-City Baptist Church in Allen Park, Michigan and as the school administrator at Bethany Christian School in Troy, Michigan.

Pastor Moreno received a Master of Arts degree in 1986 from Bob Jones University and a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently working toward a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Moreno and his wife, Debbie, are celebrating 24 years of marriage and have four children: Jessica is teaching at Inter-City Baptist School in Allen Park, Michigan. Jonathan and James are currently attending Bob Jones University, and Julina is a student at Lake Orion Baptist School. Debbie holds a B.S. degree in Math education from Bob Jones and currently teaches in Lake Orion Baptist School.

Pastor Moreno teaches the Victory Adult Bible Fellowship class and various classes in the Lake Orion Bible Institute. Pastor & Debbie are committed to the process of making and maturing disciples who are becoming more like Jesus Christ.

Pastor Steve Sanders, Assistant Pastor and Pastor of our Youth Ministries, has been on staff since February, 2006. He is originally from this area, having grown up in Clarkston. His past experience includes serving on staff at Maranatha Baptist Church, Clarkston, MI for almost 20 years, and then on the mission field in Africa for a year-and-a-half. Steve holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bob Jones University and an M. Min. degree, also from BJU.

Pastor Steve met his wife, Robin, at Bob Jones University and they were married in August of 1984. Robin holds a B.A. degree in Christian Missions from Bob Jones University, with a minor in foreign languages, French proficiency. She enjoys teaching at Lake Orion Baptist School. Steve & Robin have four children: Ben, Brett, Katie, and Kara. Ben and his family live in South Carolina. Brett and Katie are currently students at Bob Jones University. Kara is a student at Lake Orion Baptist School.

Pastor Steve's areas of ministry include oversight of the nursery through teen ministries. He and Robin desire to assist parents in their great responsibility of training and molding, with biblical truth, the children that God has entrusted to their care.

Pastor Jim Watson, Pastor of Music Ministries, has been on staff at First Baptist since June of 2000. Having attended FBC since his junior high years, he graduated from Lake Orion High School and then studied music at Bob Jones University. He received a B.S. in Music Education and a M.M. in Church Music before returning to Lake Orion. Jim is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education at Bob Jones University.

Jim and his wife, Hannah, were married in 2000 and they have two children, Benjamin and Kate. Hannah holds a B.M. in Piano Performance from Bob Jones University and currently teaches private piano lessons from her home studio. Jim teaches the Berean Adult Bible Fellowship class and also teaches in the Lake Orion Bible Institute.

Jim is responsible for the entire church music ministry which includes Lake Orion Baptist School. He directs the choir, orchestra and various small groups. He also teaches private brass lessons. Jim & Hannah's desire is to train and develop musicians who are committed to local church music ministry.

Pastor Tony Bryson, School Administrator, has been on staff since 2007. Prior to coming on staff at First Baptist, Tony was the school principal at Sterling Christian School in Sterling Heights, MI where he served for a total of eighteen years.

Tony and his wife, Leigh Ann, have been married since July of 1989 and have three children: Abigail, Micah and Joshua. Leigh Ann serves as one of the secretaries at First Baptist Church of Lake Orion and also coaches volleyball at Lake Orion Baptist School.

Tony holds a B.S. degree in Business Administrative Managment and a M.S. degree in Education Administration from Bob Jones University. Tony is also the teacher of the Discipleship Adult Bible Fellowship Class.

Tony and Leigh Ann's desire is to continue to see young people discipled through the Christian school.
